Mr. Gururaj

Mr. Gururaj, a versatile musician is the music director for "Sound of Music". He is the leader of the band.

"GURU" as he is popularly known, is a Science Graduate from Karnataka University, Dharwar. He is keenly interested in Fine Arts Specially music. God has blessed him with fine voice and he takes an active part in the troupe as singer and director. In fact he has named the troupe after the popular English Musical Movie "THE SOUND OF MUSIC". He is the creator behind the troupe's live performances. He creates a unique blend of natural sounds with those of electronic music gadgets to bring touches of latest gimmics.

Mr. Gururaj has produced many audio & video cassettes notable among are

AUDIO: Halli Hadu, Navya Geethe, Disco Prapancha, Makkala Loka, Deveradhane, Karnana Sampathu (FilM) and others.

Mrs. Manjula

Another star in the firmament of the troupe is Mrs. Manjula Gururaj, State Award Winner of Karnataka State for the best female playback singer. This artiste also started her career through "SOUND OF MUSIC" troupe. She is also Mr. Gururaj's better half. Being his wife, Mrs. Gururaj has started a professional training school for aspirants in the field of music. The school is named "SADHANA MUSIC SCHOOL" and is first of its kind, where about 800 students are learning the rudiments of music taught in a scientific way. The music shcool is indeed a feather in the cap of the "SOUND OF MUSIC" troupe. It has 3 branches in Bangalore at Basavanagudi, Jayanagar & Malleswaram.
